DAVID BLOOMFIELD (Producer) is a Partner at Escape Artists. He joined the company in 2000. He has acted as executive producer on over 15 Escape Artist pictures, including The Equalizer franchise starring Denzel Washington, Being the Ricardos, The Upside, Hope Springs, Southpaw, Seven Pounds, Troop Zero, Knowing and The Backup Plan.  David recently produced for Escape Artists the Gael Garcia Bernal starrer Cassandro which garnered much acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival in 2023.

David also handles all of the business and corporate affairs of Escape Artists, and is instrumental in guiding all of the Company’s projects from the early development stage through to completion and release. Prior to joining Escape Artists, David was a senior executive at Spelling Entertainment where he was involved in numerous television series including Beverly Hills, 90210, and Melrose Place. He also oversaw the production of over 20 films at Spelling, including The Usual Suspects and In and Out.

In 2005, David put together Jason Reitman’s first feature, Thank You for Smoking, for producer and internet entrepreneur David Sacks. David started his career as an attorney for Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law and The University of Wisconsin. He writes screenplays in his spare time, and hopefully will get one produced with the help of his partners!
