15 Theatrical And Streaming Movies To Look Forward To This Summer

Summer is almost here, as Memorial Day weekend signals, and both the box office and various streamers have films arriving in summer 2026 to fit various movie-going moods.

For those looking for rom coms, beach or lakeside love stories and lighter fare, Netflix and Prime Video have entries in that space coming in June and July. Those who prefer action-packed adventure movies can catch The Mandalorian And Grogu over the long weekend once it hits theaters May 22. Following that are Masters of the Universe and Supergirl in June.

Cinephiles will be happy to know that Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan and Ridley Scott all have films arriving in theaters in June, July and August, respectively. Find a list of films to look forward to this summer below:

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein (ShrinkingTed Lasso) will lead Netflix’s rom com Office Romance coming to the streamer early in June. Lopez stars as airline CEO Jackie Cruz, who falls hard for the new company lawyer Daniel Blanchflower (Goldstein). The circumstances of their involvement could spell disaster for their workplace and for them as individuals. Written by Goldstein and fellow Ted Lasso co-creator Joe Kelly, Office Romance is directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again). The film also stars  Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, Bradley Whitford and Edward James Olmos. Tony Plana, Roger Bart, Jackie Sandler, Donald Elise Watkins, Jodie Whittaker, Natalie Ortega, Mary Wiseman, Brian Gallivan, Ali Stroker, Michelle Hurd, Scott Seiss, Lisa Gilroy, Rick Hoffman, Will Sasso and Mo Welch also appear.

‘Masters Of The Universe’ – Theaters – June 5

Shortly after his appearance as local journalist Elliot Matthews in Amazon MGM’s The Sheep Detectives, which hit theaters May 8, Nicholas Galitzine will be back on the big screen starring as He-Man in Masters of the Universe from Mattell and Amazon MGM Studios. Directed by Travis Knight, the film also stars Jared Leto as Skeletor, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn and more. The Prince of Eternia soars into theaters with his magic sword June 5.

‘Voicemails for Isabelle’ – Netflix – June 19

Nick Robinson returns to the rom com genre in Voicemails for Isabelle, which also stars Zoey Deutch. In a plot similar to that of Love, Again (2023), Deutch’s Hill is grieving the loss of her sister Isabelle (Ciara Bravo), and, in the process, continues to leave voicemails with Isabelle’s old number. Turns out the number has been reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson), a real estate agent also looking for meaning in his life. Nick Offerman, Lukas Gage, Harry Shum Jr., Megan Danso, Gil Bellows, Toby Sandeman, and Spencer Lord co-star. Voicemails for Isabelle is written and directed by Leah McKendrick (Scrambled), with music by Este Haim and Amanda Yamate.
